Writer, editor, fact-checker, cheap wine enthusiast, amateur haikuist
My name is Parry and I am a writer, pop culture aficionado, bitch, lover, child, mother, sinner, saint, I do not feel ashamed. I am actually neither a mother, nor a saint, but I hope you got the reference.
Long-story-short, after years of working on the business side of the music industry, I decided to pursue writing as more than a hobby. I’ve written for Rolling Stone, New York Magazine, HelloGiggles and iVillage, to name a few. To see the full list, choose a publication from the menu up top.
I can put together a damn good story, am super comfortable in celebrity/artist interviews, produce content quickly and know how to direct my voice towards the audience. I also like to think I’m funny and pretty and smell like roses. All the time.
I also run a weekly playlist newsletter called High Fidelity. It’s like the go-go juice cure for musical boredom. Each week, subscribers get a playlist with a theme and content from around the web that feeds off that theme. Think This American Life with turntables (and more, um, “colorful” language).
